Description
An Australian pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) flaps its wings to dry them after diving for fish.
The Australian Pelican is a large waterbird with the largest bill of any living bird, and a very large throat pouch. They are quite common throughout Australia and their size, colours and habits make them fascinating to watch.
